An eloquent brownstone home
in Chester County, Pennsylvania

Our crews are in the process of installing the walkways to the main entrance and mud room doors. Once we established the elevations from the porches to the driveway, we calculated the number of steps needed to make the walkways flow effortlessly. All the base materials are set in place and compacted. The EP Henry paving stones are placed over the prepared base materials and checked again for the proper slope away from the home.

Now that the construction is completed, the true beauty of the front landscaping has come into its full glory. These walkways pull you into the home from the welcoming forecourt right up to the entrance doors. EP Henry’s Devon Stone picks up the warm brown coloration of the stone facade to create a harmonious feeling.

This home has the relaxed beauty of a Chester County farm house and the plantings help to re-enforce the overall presence it creates. We installed a loose formality of evergreens to provide a substantial year round structure to the gardens. Infused throughout the plantings are flowering trees and shrubs that will provide seasonal color, texture and fragrance.

Accenting all the plantings are lush groupings of annuals. These plants, whether they are at the base of a shrub or found in a formal urn give the gardens eye catching drifts of color.

We provided substantial interest with all the landscape elements to give everyone reason to pause and take in the beauty of this planting. All the detail and appointments are just enough to provide the elegance this home deserves.
