This Bucks County estate is sprawled out over almost 80 acres of preserved meadow. The abundant wildlife and rough terrain that was inherited with the site posed many challenges through out the landscape installation and the maintenance of this property.
To access the property you must pass through a stately wrought iron gate flanked with a complimentary formal landscape and orchard. As you travel along the winding asphalt driveway accented with brick paver inlays, you notice the breathtaking meadowland views. The driveway takes you over a couple of naturalized drainage overpasses which feature boulder outcroppings softened by native tree, shrub and perennial plantings.
As you arrive to the main property you are greeted by the large stone manor house, surrounded by almost a 1/2 acre of brick pavers. The paver driveway is accented with a number of patterned inlays and defined with a double border. The front landscape is loosely formal, framed by a few large, upright Red Maples. In the rear yard, the landscape surrounding the pool and lower slate patio are more laid back in nature. The view to the large, open expanse of lawn which was kept for outdoor activities is framed by two large pendulous Beech trees. Off to the side, is a formal vegetable garden terraced with tons of dry laid natural gray fieldstone. The garden is outlined with Boxwood and manicured perennial plantings. We used a variety of colors and textures within the landscape while still keeping the plant palette deer and wildlife resistant. In order to maintain a lush, green look throughout the year, we also irrigated the main 5 acre portion of the property
We were able to provide the client with a beautiful and ever-changing landscape which fits well with both the surrounding meadows and the more formal nature of their home. Through our meticulous grounds maintenance services we are able to keep it that way.
