Surrounding an existing golf course in central Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, is a community of single family and carriage homes. It’s one of the few golf centered communities in the area, which makes it a very valuable property. It was important to be able to take the feel of the golf course and apply it to the rest of the site.
The community entrance and boulevard area features an emmaculate entrance monument with brick walls topped with finials and brick planting bed curbing. The plant palette is very whimsical and naturalistic, including lots of ornamental grasses and perennials to help create color an texture change.
The main manor house of the community was original to the golf course. We planted many mature specimens within it’s courtyard, and around it’s foundation to maintain and recreate the building’s original formal grandeur. Around the specimens we filled in with numerous evergreen and deciduous shrubs, groundcovers and seasonal flowers to highlight the space. The surrounding grounds were planted in a more relaxed fashion to fit in with the adjacent common areas.
All of the community’s homes were planted with a substantial landscape package and sodded. We installed brick paver and slate patios and walkways on many of the homes, softening them up with a lush, green landscape.
This golf themed community is wildly popular and the homes sold out very quickly. It’s residents appreciate their relaxed and luxurious surroundings and lifestyle that we helped to create.
